Frog Named Sam on CD

Winner of 2009 Excellent Product iParenting Media, Mr. Dad Seal of Approval Father's Day 2009 and 2009 Preferred Choice Award Creative Child Awards Program "On the title track alone, the funky vocal breakdown is worth the price of admission...." ~ Time Out New York Kids '...very Widespread Panic-ish or like Phish! I have heard this a billion times and still like it.' ~ Daddy Brad - DaddyLab.Com "Little Deadheads! The tracks from the Grateful Dead influenced kiddie jam band are groovy." ~ Parenting Magazine 'If I was allowed only one CD to bring on a 3 hour road trip this would be the one.' ~ Mustapha - WHUS, Storrs, CT '...he and the band are so musically gifted that they almost create their own style of music. ' ~ Dave Loftin, Chattanooga Parent Paper Ben Rudnick & Friends, the acclaimed American roots style family music band, have released their new recording, A Frog Named Sam. The band's versatile musicianship is evident with more depth and skill than ever in this new release, featuring 11 whimsical and high-spirited tunes. The rockin' title track tells the tale of a croaking frog who doesn't like the water and starts a rock band in the city. The doo-wop "Three Little Fishes" offers up a swimmingly fun story and sing-along fun. "Race Car" is a road-tested traveling tune that is "smoking down the track." Crossing the street becomes a joyous adventure with the tune "I Need a Hand." Two instrumental jigs offer perfect soundtracks for family dance parties, and listeners will delight in the new arrangements of classic folk tunes "Erie Canal," "Old Joe" and "Greensleeves." The tune "The Santa Fe" echoes Americana classics, but it is a new tune penned by band member John Zevos.
