Love & All That on CD

About Barry Little: Barry's musical beginnings can be traced to the late 30's, 40's and 50's when his parents operated a burlesque and vaudeville theatre in Toronto. As an impressionable youngster, he heard first-hand the music of many legendary jazz musicians and great composers from all over North America. Barry has had a life-long immersion in various musical genres, but his love for lyricism in the music of Gershwin, Porter, Rogers and Kern remains a major influence in his song writing. About the CD: 'LOVE AND ALL THAT' contains a variety of musical styles - jazz, traditional, popular and Latin. The tunes were written by Barry. Multi-talented Gisèle Fredette wrote the lyrics to "Hello" and "Love's Secret". The remaining English lyrics were written by Barry. Gisèle skilfully translated "The Eyes I See" to "Tes yeux mystérieux" and "Must You Say Goodbye?" to "Pourquoi dire adieu?". (Gisèle is the featured vocalist on an all-French companion CD 'PARLONS DE TOI'.) A marvelous group of Canadian artists were involved in creating this CD. Talented vocalists - Bonnie Brett, Pat LaCroix, Sherri Marshall, Carol McCartney and Brenda Scott - made the tunes come alive. Frank Falco did the musical arrangements and editing, rehearsed the vocalists and played piano brilliantly on the recording. The other musicians on the gig were also world class - Mike Downes on acoustic bass, Jane Fair on flute, Lorne Lofsky on guitar and Ben Riley on drums.
