Rippleaffect on CD

B.O.H. (BridgeOfHope) is an alternative-modern rock band out of Orange County; CA. B.O.H.'s music is an original repertoire of sophisticated alternative rock songs with a modern energy and some underlying blues. The band's style is a mix of influences of the likes of Dave Matthews Band to Collective Soul to Puddle of Mudd, with a message like Jars of Clay and Delirious? B.O.H. was formed in 1996 out of the Saddleback Valley area, CA. The band often plays at a variety of nightclubs such as the Whiskey A Go-Go and the Coach House, marketplaces, charity events, coffeehouses, churches and other venues. BIO The band is comprised of Art Anthony (rhythm guitars, vocals and main songwriter) and Joey Heshion (lead guitars and vocals) along with the solid backing of drummer, Joe 'T' Terusa and stepping in at bass, Shannon Bizzy, the band has a good team. The band considers themselves to be a 'rock band' with a Spiritual message. Their music range is phenomenal along with their talent to perform on stage. They have played at places like The Coach House opening for Scarlet Crush and The Romantics to doing ministry benefit concerts at a local churches opening for Jeremy Camp, or an indie like Pound Foolish. They cross all types of stereotype barriers to create what they feel is their form of modern rock music in the mainstream, Christian arenas or otherwise. Art Anthony - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar. Art's background is a modest but interesting one. Art grew up partly in Pico Rivera and Anaheim CA. A native Californian, Art grew up in a large family of eight brothers and sisters, where Christ was the center of their lives. At age 11, Art took piano lessons (at the request of his parents and church teacher). A few months into his piano lessons, he told his instructor he really wanted to play the guitar and begged his parents to buy a guitar as soon as they could afford one for him. Soon after that, Art quit his piano lessons and got his wish and received his first guitar and began his quest to improve his skills. A few years later, at age 13, Art started his own 'rock' band and so he did with his three other brothers. They formed the band they called 'Crystal Waters'. Basically, the band only did local church gigs, youth functions and camps. In 1980 the band went different directions, everybody went off to different colleges and that was the end of the band. Art put the guitar and singing aside and studied architecture at Cal Poly Pomona University, CA. After finishing his schooling and graduated with a BS of Architecture, he knew he needed to get back into music. In 1994, while attending Saddleback Valley Community Church, he was inspired to get involved on the 'worship team'. He ended up meeting Joey Heshion on one of the groups. While serving on the different groups, Art felt he needed to get back to his first love of playing his guitar, writing new music and sharing them with a crowd at large. He believed he needed to move outside singing to the 'choir', and reach out to the crossover sector of the life, the people outside the walls of the 'sanctuary'. In 1996, after getting together several times, Art and Joey Heshion began the band that they now call 'B.O.H.' (bridgeofhope). Joey Heshion - Vocals, Lead Guitaron this. Joey is a California transplant from the Midwest. The youngest of a large Irish-Catholic family, he's a black sheep in his pursuit of the performing arts as a career. Though most of his family is very artistically inclined, Joey felt a desire to pursue things at a higher level. Having two brothers that played guitar, there was this cool sixties Silvertone Jupiter guitar that was hanging around. His parents never found out that he would run home from school in the forth grade to crank an amp in the open front window, torturing the neighbors with hours of 'Smoke on the Water' type classics. In 1990, he stopped to visit a friend in Huntington Beach, CA. 'I was headed for Hollywood, but the weather was so nice, I ended up staying in H.B. and commuting.' Joey eventually gained five dance scholarships and a membership in the Screen Actors Guild. He completed some musical tours and roles with dance companies as well as some acting. 'If you hit freeze-frame, you can catch my ugly mug in everything from Con Air to ER and Murphy Brown.' These things were all fun for a time, but Joey's heart was really always in music. And he always knew that everything else would eventually give way to band efforts. He met Art Anthony (Lead Vocalist) in a vocal group at Saddleback Church. 'We started off doodling with some blues-rock ideas, and B.O.H. took off from there. Joey finally began to realize the dream of pursuing music through a band concept that reaches out to the public. Although, Joey has recently moved on to heading another band 'Fully', he will continue to be a close friend to the band and what B.O.H. represents. Right now, he is in the midst of finishing up his schooling at G.I.T, in Hollywood, which he will be getting a degree in Music Performance. Joe Terusa (JT) - Drums. JT joined B.O.H. in 1999 intermittently while the current the drummer left for college and work. He has since then became a rock solid member of the group, taking over the position of drummer for the past 2 years. There is nothing more pressing for JT then to be a part of a rock band. He has been playing drums for about 12 years with various bands and groups. His dedication to learning about the drums started an early age of 12. In his High School years, JT became heavily involved in the Performing Arts Department where he played percussion in the School's Marching Band, joined the Drum-line, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and sang in the Concert/Chamber Choir. He was not your typical High School kid. He continued his desire to progress in his percussion studies at Saddleback Community College, Mission Viejo, CA. Also, while in college, JT performed with the college Wind, Symphonic, Orchestra and Jazz Ensembles for a couple more years. JT is one of many siblings in his family. It seems that his whole family is gifted in the area of 'music'. One of his older brothers, Tony Terusa, who plays bass for the OC Supertones, is secretly looked up to, although one would not know it, since JT rarely wants to mention his brother's fame. It was through a friend at the college where JT and B.O.H. were able to meet and sit in on drums. It is fair to say that JT is in the pursuit of someday playing drums for a living in whatever capacity that may be. He truly is a valued member of B.O.H. and brings strength, technically and in style to the group. His music influences range from Pearl Jam, to Nirvana, to Bob Marley.
