Ashland Court on CD

Ashland Court is a hard-hitting rock band with great hooks and energy that demands attention. With a new CD in the works full of high energy pop /FM rock songs, Ashland Court is in the midst of embarking on a new era of their careers. The quartet now faces a different kind of challenge one that had not presented itself until recently, new label interest in North America and over seas has struck a chord with these four and has inspired their song writing to an entirely new level. Ashland Court was recently compared to Nickleback, and though there is no real similarity, they discovered the similarity is this. They are both four piece bands the hail from Canada they both have their own unique sound, and last but truly the most important point is they both write hits. New singles to watch out for on the bands pending release are. "Colder I Get" "Control" "Breaking Down" As of April 2009 the band is in pre-production, recording demos and deciding which songs will be included on the new CD. Also in the works is the scripting and storey board for the bands first video. Formed in 2005, the group had one basic ambition - play as much as possible; that meant filling up the van and hitting the road. Although the pins dotting the tour map for Ashland Court include Flin Flon Mb, London Ont. And Winnipeg suburb Transcona, the band sees an audience as an opportunity to entertain and share the magic of rock and roll. "We have made so many friends it's crazy, it's all these people that we have met because of our music," says Riggs, "Every thing we write is positive in one way or another. We believe in good karma, good times and having many, many friends..." The Ashland Court show takes both fans and newcomers from their gritty, dimly lit lounges to the biggest concert venue and all it takes is a couple of songs. From the tongue in cheek 'Beneficial Tragedy' to the latest radio-friendly 'Funny How It Is', the group's sound is moving into a comfortable modern rock zone.
