On the Upside EP on CD

Andrew Wallace is an Australian singer/songwriter based in Melbourne In 2003 Andrew released his debut EP entitled"Standing in my shoes",which was co- produced by Aria nominated producer/engineer Nigel Derricks. While gigging solidly with his band throughout 2003/2004,tracks from the EP featured regularly on network 10's extreme sports TV show "Cactus garden"also during this time Andrew received record company interest from the US. In 2006 Andrew released his second EP "On the Upside" which received rave reviews in local street press magazines as well nationally distributed People magazine. Airplay has since followed both nationally and through parts of Canada. Andrew's songs display a rich blend of strong vocal pop melodies over layers of guitars and colourfull keyboard arrangements. His music has been described as having a uniquely Australian sound, with comparisons to acts such as Powderfinger,Crowded house,Thirsty merc and Pete Murray. Andrew has performed at many well established venues throughout Australia and supported some of Australia's finest entertainers. RECENT 'ON THE UPSIDE' REVIEWS 'Great riffs, strong melodies and good arrangement, Wallace nails the great rock formula...has an edgy uniqueness you can't quite nail down with glib descriptions.' Thomas Whitty, Beat magazine, 17/5/2006 'An accomplished swag of pop nuggets ' Clem Bastow, Inpress magazine, 10/5/2006 "Seriously I can't believe Wallace hasn't been picked up by a major label" AW People magazine 11/9/2006.
