Letters to Myself on CD

Andrew Syn is no stranger to reinvention. Ever since writing his first song at age 8 through a cheap keyboard, Andrew has always been reinventing his music and himself, to create a fresh, new sound, that sets the standard for things to come. Though his influences range from Metallica to 3 Doors Down, Andrew Syn's sound is pure pop-rock power, which can best be described as a mainstream rock/pop proposal. Never underestimating the genre, Andrew brings familiar elements to his music, but never leaving out his guitar driven background. Andrew's story starts in 2001 by starting a band using his last name, Syn. Breakups and makeups, as usual with bands reaching known status locally and regionally, marked a decision that would change his life, choosing to go solo. Time showed that it was the right decision, as Andrew started another reinvention: leave the hard-rock scene, and start doing mainstream rock work. This was until 'Beautiful Girl' (from 'Inside My Head', 2006) was written. This song was another point of Andrew's reinvention. Taking his trademark mainstream rock sound, he made a fresh new pop/rock sound, which is the base for 2008's 'Letters To Myself', which Andrew Syn himself says is his best songwriting and performance approach ever. On the live scene, Andrew has shared stages with many local and regional bands, and two well-known acts, once in Hidalgo, TX's 'Dodge Arena', playing along with Maverick Records artist Tantric, and in Cumbre Tajin 2005, playing along with mexican rock icons Molotov. Andrew Syn's growth in his songwriting and performance skills has been guided by his will to never feel satisfied, and his rebel attitude to always be on top. 2008's 'Letters To Myself' promises to breakthrough Andrew Syn, and position Andrew as one of the best acts in years to come.
