ALTAREGO is a Christian Rock band that has emerged out of the local church music scene in Central Ontario. Dynamic piano and guitar driven rock music provides a backdrop for relevant lyrics. With the release of their first CD, It's You, ALTAREGO is excited about sharing their music with an audience looking for lyrical depth, and music that is diverse and exciting. With 3 lead vocalists and a variety of musical influences from Rock, Pop, Country and Blues, ALTAREGO delivers a high energy show that connects with an audience. ALTAREGO's song lyrics are an expression of their faith, born out of their personal relationships with God. Band mates John Markov (vocals and guitar), Tom Lahay (bass), Dan Kennedy (drums), LamB (vocals and percussion), Phil Holder (guitar) and Matthew Fox (vocals, guitar and piano) have been playing music together in various groups for a number of years and started ALTEREGO in 2004. All of the songs on 'It's You' were written by John and Matt and cover a diverse musical and lyrical range. Walk to the Light was co-written with Jason McCoy, one of Canada's most popular Country Music artists. With the release of their first CD they are now taking their music on the road with the hope of turning people on to what Jesus Christ has to offer. "People are searching for meaning in life and only God can fill that void. That's what we are trying to do - communicate the Truth through great music and engaging performance." says band member John Markov. Their live shows hilite original material from their CD as well as popular Praise & Worship. You can hear ALTAREGO on 105.5 MORE-FM and Life 100.3 in Ontario, Canada. Response to their debut CD has been outstanding. One fan emailed us; "I don't have a favorite song. I love them all!". Another fan, referring to our live show and CD, said, "The event was only surpassed by the introduction of songs from your CD. It's the most played item in our house."
