Who Knew on CD

'Alexa Hamilton's music is an original blend of pop, rock, country and acoustic', explains music producer Paul Inder. 'Her songs remind me of the timeless classics of Carole King and Carly Simon with some Sheryl Crow thrown in. Alexa is one of the best singer/songwriters I've ever worked with' says Inder, whose past associations include Grammy winners Colin Hay (Men@Work), Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead) and Ivor Novello award winner Chris Difford (Squeeze). American audiences however, may best know Alexa Hamilton as a television actress. Beginning with her teenage debut as 'The Invisible Woman' in a 1983 NBC movie/pilot, through to her most recent starring role in the 2005 miniseries version of 'The Poseidon Adventure'. But British audiences are more familiar with Alexa as a singer and stage performer, having appeared live (over the past 10 years) on TV, Theatre and Tours throughout the UK and parts of Europe. 'I started out singing in a band' says Alexa, who recently emigrated back to LA from London. Although it was her acting career that first took off, she never stopped writing songs and would sometimes incorporate them into her theatre projects. An original song of Alexa's 'I Won't Let You Lose Me' (featured on the EP and co-written with Scottish Guitar player Hugh Burns best known for his recordings with George Michael) was used a capella for the opening theme in Scotlands Edinburgh Festival production of Sam Shepards acclaimed play 'Fool For Love'. A production that Alexa also starred in. But it wasn't until she returned to LA in 2006 that she finally decided to professionally record and release her own original material. Owed greatly to the interest and collaboration of US emigrated British musician and producer Paul Inder,(son of Motorhead's 'Lemmy') an accomplished guitarist, bass player, programmer, mixer and producer. Inder brought not only his own ample talents and state of the art facility (Inder Music) to the project but also the top rated mastering of Charles (Chuck) Zwicky (engineer for Prince/ Paisley Park, Soul Asylum, ABC 'Dirty Sexy Money'). As well as Prince's famed drummer Michael Bland and multi-talented Keyboard/Composer Tommy Barbarella. Along with the added percussion of French Armenian conga player Moustapha Benbakir . The result is a refreshing, dynamic recording debut for Alexa Hamilton. Songs from her debut EP 'Who Knew' can currently be heard on over 50 AAA and Americana Radio Stations across the US.
