Politics As Usual on CD

Who is Alan Rosen? I wish I knew? But I can tell you that I was born and bred in Boston, and have played music in and around the Boston are for many years. Two of my favorite bands that I was the lead singer for were Junk Mail and Condo Pygmies. What, you never heard of those bands? You're not alone! Junk Mail made one 45. Yes a 45 on vinyl. It contained the classic songs No More TV and Breakoff. I think I still have four hundred copies in my closet. You never heard of those songs? You're still not alone!! Junk Mail also did a mini tour of Venezuela. While other bands were going to England, we opted for South America. The prevailing thinking in the band was that touring the UK was just so yesterday. Also we decided that if we were going to be booed, we wanted be booed in a foreign language. Many clubs have come and gone since I first started singing in Boston. The Rat, the Channel, and Cantone's to name a few. May they rest in peace. Cantones, located on Broad Street, was an Italian eatery for the financial set by day, and a punk rock haven by night. An anything goes atmosphere with a sixty watt bulb, or was it forty watts, over the band's head, made Cantones a place you had to play. And then there was the Channel, with it's huge stage, huge sound system, and huge bouncers. But the Rat had the most cachet. Anyone who was anyone played The Rat. The most memorable act I ever saw at the Rat was the lead singer from the band Harlequin. His head to toe barbed wire suit, adorned with rubber rats will not soon be forgotten. OK enough nostalgia! I have just released Politics as Usual, a two song CD inspired by the sorry state of politics. I hope you like it, and thanks for your time and consideration.
