Face to Face on CD

Info: AFFAIR actually exists since 1987. Having played numerous live-shows the band became local heroes. Until 1992, after different line-up changes AFFAIR supported acts like GOTTHARD, F.M. and MOTHER'S FINEST on their tours through Germany. At that time the first album 'Face To Face' was almost finished, when the original lead singer had to quit the band. It took 3 more years til early 1995 guitarist / producer Bobby Altvater got to know the outstanding voice of Peter De Wint from Antwerp/Belgium. Peter used to sing in groups like OSTROGOTH and MYSTERY, which are well known for their smashing albums all over Europe and Japan. Besides his brilliant voice and his perfect live performance, Peter is known to be the perfect sound-tech and producer for acts like TERRA NOVA, VENGEANCE, HAREM SCAREM, GLENN HUGHES and WASP. Finally, 'Face To Face' was released in 1997 by Altvater's label Sky Productions. With the first demo mixes of the album the band was signed right away from the Japanese major label Avex. In October ´97 the debut album 'Face To Face' was released in Japan. A few weeks later the CD went into stores allover Europe as well thru Bobby Altvater´s label Sky Productions. In 1999 the band started to work for the new songs in the actual line-up. In october 2000 Bobby Altvater took up the production for the new album, which was exclusively produced at Sky Studios, Munich. Bobby started out with his first band BAD EDEN in 1980. Since 1988 he owns the recording facility Sky Studio in Munich, where he produced more than 100 rock-albums for bands like AVALON, BOICE VOICE, BONFIRE, FRONTLINE, HOTWIRE, RAILWAY, SABU, ZAR and of course AFFAIR! In 1991 Bobby also worked with HAROLD FALTERMEYER and CHRIS THOMPSON. In the 90'ies acts like RUSS BALLARD, KIP WINGER, JOE LYNN TURNER and ALVIN LEE relied on his abilities behind the engineer´s and producer´s desk. The CD is released october 23rd 2002 in Japan on Marquee/Avalon-Label and a week later, the 28th october in Europe through Major MTM Music.
