Celtic MP3s Music Magazine said of this duo, 'Their combination of powerful vocals and memorable renderings of both traditional and original Celtic music brings them to the forefront of this genre. They bring a fresh look at some of the most beloved Celtic songs, as well as provide amazing original tunes in their line-up.' Singer/songwriter Joe Travers teams up with baritone Adam Alexander for this exciting collection. Their mix of vocal harmonies and acoustic guitar provides a stirring, sometimes light - hearted, often moving listening experience. From the streets of Riverdale, New York to Scotland's Edinborough Fringe Festival; from the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall (one of five reputedly "acoustically perfect" spaces in the world)to the world famous Bitter End, Joe Travers has performed in a variety of unique venues. As a songwriter, he has created a large catalogue, touching on themes as varied as the idea of America, modern physics, coming of age, love and loss, and the hero within. His sound blends the genres of acoustic pop, folk and Celtic. Clive Swersky, of TV's 'Alive with Clive' said, 'Joe Travers is a thoughtful, insightful and multi-faceted singer/songwriter...an undiscovered national treasure'. Adam Alexander received a bachelor's degree in vocal performance from Boston University and a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music. A solid musician, Adam has sung in professional choruses for the last ten years, including the New York Choral Artists with the New York Philharmonic, the choir at St. Ignatius Loyola, the Boston Bach Ensemble, and singing back-up for Barry Manilow with the Boston Pops. He has performed principal roles with the Bronx Opera, the Princeton Repertory Theater, and at the Manhattan School of Music.
