Rock & Flower on CD

The truth is out there and 3 Feet Up is looking for it. The songs on 'Rock and Flower' mostly deal with the process of finding truths that are hidden from us. Chris & Victoria Hardy have put together a disc that ranges from upbeat straight-ahead rock a la Steely Dan to infectious pop songs about big pharmaceutical companies to almost-Celtic drinking songs about triangle women not fitting in. 'We did a few new things and some weird things on this CD' says Chris. 'There are some unconventional drum parts, some doubled bass parts, keyboard parts, piccolo bass solos, shakers made from pill bottles, the sound of coins being dropped on a plate and Victoria even has vocals in there!' Fans of 3 Feet Up who enjoyed their debut CD 'Tank Full Of Gas And An Empty Cup', but were somewhat confused by their second 'bare-bones acoustic minimalist' live CD 'i will fear no evil' will be ever-so-happy that the married couple band has returned to the realm of full instrumentation radio-friendly recordings! And true to 3 Feet Up's songwriting, the songs are still adhesive enough to stick in your head long after you've listened to them. So if you enjoy electric and acoustic guitar based pop/rock music that's a little on the intellectual and introspective side, then buddy, this is your CD.
