Initially only a recording company, Crazy Music soon evolved into an international music distribution, a music publishing house and the largest independent Country Music label of Austria. 1992: International American top star Joe Sun signed a contract with Crazy Music and followed up with two CD releases and numerous concert appearances in Austria. 1994: Besides numerous nominations, Crazy Music was honored by the Austrian Country Music Federation with the award Album of the Year in 1994 for their CD production 'Robert Steubl A Fireman's Life'. Together with the German company CMBP, Crazy Music produced two video clips, 'Robert Steubl A Fireman's Life' and 'Joe Sun Some old Memories', which were broadcast on SF1 and 3SAT. 1995: Crazy Music took over the Hit Records label and music publishing house in 1995. Since then the company has diversified into a wide range of music genres. Besides country music, Crazy Music now also produces, publishes and distributes pop, rock, disco, techno, alternative and folk music. The CD samplers 'Country Music Special A Retrospective' and 'Pro Country' attracted international attention due to the appearance of artists such as David Allan Coe, Billie Jo Spears, Big Al Downing, Ed Bruce, Dave Dudley, Barry & Holly Tashian, Tom Russell, Christine Albert, Jim Eanes and other top stars of the Country genre on both CDs. 1996: Company owner Kurt Bamacher, who is also a songwriter, received the ACMF Song of the Year award in 1996 for his song 'Is it right or is it wrong?'. 1997: Crazy Music licensed and obtained exclusive rights for original Warner/Team recordings of Big Al Downing and released these in Europe in the form of a 2-CD box. 1999: Kurt Bamacher and Christian Fuchs produced a 10-sequel live country music show, each sequel consisting of a two-hour show entitled 'Country Corner', for Radio Salzkammergut (Free Radio). 2000: Crazy Music published a limited highlight edition promo CD for their 10-year anniversary. Kris Kristofferson's and Wanda Jackson's personal gratulatory messages were recorded for the anniversary CD. The CD was not available for sale. 2001: Crazy Music acquired the publishing rights in Austria, Germany and Switzerland of Jennifer Parsignault. One of the US singer's titles is aired on the US TV series 'Dawson's Creek'. 2004: At the end of December 2004, in anticipation of the approaching it's 15th anniversary in February 2005, Crazy Music released the '15 Years of Crazy Music' CD, fully packed with highlights, limited-edition and unpublished recordings across 15 years of music production. The CD is now available for sale in an International and an Austrian Edition.
